Import Bookmarks

LinkAce provides a way to import existing bookmarks from your browser.

Supported Format

HTML format only: You must export your bookmarks in HTML format. Other formats are not supported.

Import Process

After submitting your import file:

  1. LinkAce checks the given links against the database
  2. All links that don’t exist yet are queued for import
  3. Links are processed through the import queue

Import Queue

To allow large imports to be handled properly, LinkAce queues the given URLs to be processed later.

Processing time: The more links to import, the longer the processing takes.

Requirements

The cron must be configured for the import to work.

How It Works

Every time the cron runs, LinkAce processes the queued links. You can view all outstanding links in the Import Queue, accessible through the menu.

Failed Imports

It’s possible that the import of a link fails due to various issues. The reason for the failed import will be shown directly under the queue.
